What do you find different about the Come Follow Me Method of Study compared to what we used to do in Gospel Doctrine Class?
There was a change from being instructed in the gospel by a teacher, to instead sharing what we have ALREADY learned from the individual and family study we have ALREADY done.
Why do you think they made this change?
What is the purpose of the Come Follow Me Method of study? (Conversion) Purpose of Come Follow Me
Do you find this method of teaching/learning to be beneficial or not?
What would you desire to change about how we go about learning?
What are my expectations from this years Study?
To be a tool in the hands of God to help individuals come to a greater understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ and through this understanding become even more converted, more committed, and more obedient and repentant.
I expect all of us to have actually looked through the lesson for the date range of interest, and have done as requested within it to think about and come to class with things to discuss.
During your study the past week have you come up with any questions or things you desire to discuss today in class?
Remember this class is for your benefit and for the benefit of others - share what you have learned.

Let your light so shine before men that they can learn what you have learned in your own studies as an individual and family! (Math 5:16)
If Not - here are some points of discussion:
What does it mean to be converted?

Can a person revert back to what they were before? (FB Group)

Who is responsible for our own Learning?
We are. Not our parents, not our spouse... rather each and every one of us is individually responsible for not only the gaining of knowledge but the use of that knowledge in our life.
What is Truth? (FB Group)

Is some information more valuable than other information? If so... why
What do you think it means to be ever learning and never coming to a knowledge of the truth?
Where does that gospel learning take place? Just in the classroom?
The Majority of gospel learning takes place in the home, and in the life of the individual. If you are expecting your testimony to be born, develop and grow in the classroom only... you need to change your expectations :)
Are questions Bad? Why Not?
Questions are not bad... they are in fact the beginning and basis of all learning. If you have something you don't now about and have a question about it - that is the start of the process of learning more about it.
What is the difference between having questions and having doubts?
Are doubts bad? If so why or why not?
How does one Learn the Gospel and not only learn it but APPLY it in one's life?
How does a person learn by faith? (FB Group)
